Local Trails
Boyne Mountain sits at the center of one of the better mountain biking regions in the Midwest. Avalanche Preserve in Boyne City has 8.6 miles of singletrack and Lake Charlevoix views. Boyne Forest Trails is a growing network of connected loops that has become a local favorite. Both are maintained by TOMMBA, the nonprofit that builds and preserves trails throughout Charlevoix and Emmet Counties.

TOMMBA
The trails we ride don't maintain themselves — and in this corner of Northern Michigan, that work falls to TOMMBA.
The Top of Michigan Mountain Bike Association is a nonprofit serving Charlevoix and Emmet Counties, with a mission to create, enhance, and preserve trail experiences for riders of all levels. One hundred percent of membership dues go directly to developing and maintaining sustainable mountain bike trails.
